Mel Safi

A pregnant comedian who was also pulled two weeks prior. She is of Cuban descent and shared stories about her father escaping federal prison and becoming a police officer in Mexico. This was her fifth time ever on stage.

Originally from Miami and previously a teacher in DC, she has lived in Austin for five and a half years. She was pregnant with her third child during the set and is married to an Afghan man. This was her fourth time doing stand-up, having previously been invited on stage by Joe Rogan.
